Supporting Healing Communities in East Africa

Our partners at the Global Trauma Project and the , Think Peace Learning and Support Hub, bridge the critical work of community mental health and community peacebuilding.
In Kenya and across Eastern Africa, our partners work diligently with their constituent communities to integrate mental health into peacebuilding. They develop locally relevant psychoeducational content and explore novel ways to support the inner life of conflict-affected communities, such as shifts in safety, trust, and emotional well-being. Through evidence-backed and culturally grounded programs like stress reduction, livelihood training, and conflict resolution, they are fostering movements of collective awareness and restored agency.
