Salama: Finding Inner Safety
ISP’s flagship curriculum is designed to offer new insights and hope for adults who have experienced chronic adversity, specifically violent conflict and forced displacement.
It combines storytelling, psychoeducation, and practical learning activities to advance individuals’ understanding of the psychosocial effects of war displacement in individuals, families, and across generations, and encourage the consideration of emotional, psychological, spiritual and relational resources that can improve a sense of inner safety. It is not psychotherapy and it is not a trauma healing program, but rather an educational activity encouraging reflection and hope.
Bringing together community art, storytelling, and easy-to-understand multidisciplinary knowledge, this program is delivered in group format, in partnership with organizations who share our commitment to rigor, accountability, relationship, and participant safety.
